Chicago on Broadway delivers an outstanding theatrical experience anchored by exceptional performances across all elements of production. The cast consistently receives praise for their remarkable talent, confidence, and charisma, with standout performances and the ensemble's brilliant execution of Fosse's iconic choreography. The show's greatest strengths are its spectacular dancing and choreography, sensational singing, and phenomenal orchestra performance, with reviewers particularly impressed by the dancers' precision, stamina, and athleticism, as well as the live band's engaging interaction with performers. The production also excels in its vibrant costumes, clear diction, and energetic pacing that maintains audience engagement throughout. Minor criticisms include the story feeling somewhat dated after 30 years of the show's run and occasional concerns about theater seating comfort, though these issues do not significantly detract from the overall experience. The show comes highly recommended as a must-see Broadway production that successfully transforms familiar material into a fresh, captivating live experience, making it an excellent choice for both first-time Broadway attendees and returning theater enthusiasts.

No surprise this musical continues to fill theaters after 30 years.
"Great acting, dancing, and singing. I didn't see anyone looking at the Playbill or their phone screen. The band was great, especially the horn players."

"I love the Chicago the musical the movie but never seen the show and once Whitney was announced felt it was the time to go see it, and it was worth it. The show and performers are incredible and Whitney was amazing a really good Roxie. Would see again if they had another stunt casting that I like, and would see Whitney again in this show and any other"

AMAZING
"I absolutely loved this show. The humor, the storyline, it was amazing! 1000% recommend going & extra points to get to see Whitney as Roxie Hart! There’s definitely adult humor and some vulgar language that would may deter you from taking your kiddos but I wouldn’t give it a hard no for them! "

Entire cast was phenomenal
"I went to this show with no prior knowledge of the story of Chicago but to see Whitney Leavitt and let me first just say she did not disappoint. What I wasn’t expecting was every member of the cast to be equally as incredible and standout as her. The production, lighting, the cast, the theatre- stunning. A night to remember. "

I loved every bit of it
"I thought that having the orchestra right up on stage was a really cool part of it. You could see that most of the musicians played multiple instruments. The director also played a role as a narrator of sorts. The music was great. The dancing was great. The story was easy to follow and fun. I liked that the performers who weren't in a particular scene were still in it along the sides. The set was simple, but it really was just right! I went with my age 20 something granddaughters and wasn't sure what to expect, but it was great! I loved it!"

5 Stars for Chicago on Broadway: Wow, Wow, Wow
"Seeing Chicago on Broadway was pure magic. From the very first moment, the energy in the theater was electric and the entire production just pulls you in.
The cast? Absolutely incredible. Truly a 10 out of 10 across the board. Every performer was sharp, charismatic, and completely locked in. The choreography was tight, the vocals were powerful, and the whole show moved with that bold, confident rhythm that makes Chicago so iconic.
And Whitney Leavitt… wow. She was meant for the stage. Completely magnetic. Watching her step into this world felt so natural, like she belongs under those lights. And VELMA? A knockout. Every number, every moment, just commanding the stage in the best way.
The music is as iconic as ever. Hearing it live with that orchestra and a cast that fully delivers every beat gave me chills more than once.
The entire show is sleek, funny, sharp, and timeless. One of those performances where you walk out of the theater still buzzing from how good it was.
Five stars.
Wow, wow, wow.
Just incredible."

Spectacular
"We came to see Whitney Leavitt, who exceeded our expectations alone, but the entire cast was absolutely mind blowing and the amount of talent and stamina we witnessed on stage was just incredible. One of my bucket list items was to see a Broadway production and I cannot express enough how much joy seeing this brought me. Sophie Carmen-Jones (Velma), you are an absolute powerhouse and the PERFECT person to play Velma. Greg Hildreth (Amos), your voice and small physical movements were so good- you nailed the role. I absolutely loved when you were on stage. Whitney Leavitt (Roxie)- my favorite parts were when you were being puppeteered by Billy Flynn and the trial, your facial expressions and movements were *chefs kiss. Jacqueline B. Arnold (Mama), your VOICE, your stage presence!!! AND the band- WOW! I could go on and on. We had so much fun and I am just blown away that there is that amount of talent in the world. Thank you ALL for so much hard work and dedication. "

Great show, worth every penny!
"I had a love for Chicago before seeing the show on Broadway. This was my first actual Broadway experience and would say it did not disappoint. The show was incredible, they used every inch of the stage so no matter where you sit, you get a good show. Every single performer was on point and played their part amazingly! I loved the amount of humor that was thrown into the show, I definitely didn't expect that, so it was a pleasant surprise!
My only complaint is the bathroom situation in the Ambassador theatre. There were not enough bathrooms/stalls for the amount of people in that theater so it made for insanely long lines and some very anxious people."
