Chicago on Broadway delivers an outstanding theatrical experience anchored by exceptional performances across all elements of production. The cast consistently receives praise for their remarkable talent, confidence, and charisma, with standout performances and the ensemble's brilliant execution of Fosse's iconic choreography. The show's greatest strengths are its spectacular dancing and choreography, sensational singing, and phenomenal orchestra performance, with reviewers particularly impressed by the dancers' precision, stamina, and athleticism, as well as the live band's engaging interaction with performers. The production also excels in its vibrant costumes, clear diction, and energetic pacing that maintains audience engagement throughout. Minor criticisms include the story feeling somewhat dated after 30 years of the show's run and occasional concerns about theater seating comfort, though these issues do not significantly detract from the overall experience. The show comes highly recommended as a must-see Broadway production that successfully transforms familiar material into a fresh, captivating live experience, making it an excellent choice for both first-time Broadway attendees and returning theater enthusiasts.

Mesmerizing!
""Chicago" the musical dazzles with its sharp wit and vibrant energy, showcasing a stellar cast that brings the story's themes of ambition and betrayal to life. The performances are nothing short of exceptional, with each actor delivering powerful portrayals. The singing is crisp and emotive, especially in iconic numbers like "All That Jazz," where the ensemble shines with impressive vocal harmonies. The choreography is equally captivating, blending jazz and modern dance styles that highlight the dancers' incredible skill and precision. Overall, "Chicago" is a thrilling experience, brilliantly merging acting, singing, and dancing into a captivating theatrical journey."

Blazing Hot and Powerful Fun
"From the 1st song, the audience is brought into a world of naughtiness, sexuality, murder, and wrongdoing. It is intriguing, always has been for me and draws me into wanting to be with the characters. I love how all of the characters find their ways of engaging the audience. I have seen Chicago on Broadway four times and will continue to come because each time, I see more to each character and how they evolve. I love Chicago."

"A Masterclass in Acting"
"One of the people in my group called it a masterclass in acting and he was not wrong! It was so impressive how well the story was told without massive set changes or numerous costume changes. We were in the orchestra and we could see all of the facial expressions and everything so well. It was all just amazing. My only advice would be to hit the bathroom before you go because there were not nearly enough stalls. The whole thing was just awesome. "

A Firm Favourite
"I've seen this show many times with it being my favourite musical, but never on Broadway. I was blown away at how incredible this performance was. It surpassed my expectations and was a highlight of our trip to New York. The actors embodied their characters and if we had more time, I would have watched it again. My partner who had never seen it absolutely loved it too. He loved it as much as I did. It was one of the most tight, put together performances we've ever experienced! I always found my very first experience of the South African production in 2005 was the best, not even the West End production in 2009 came close. All future performances of this musical now have massive shoes to fill. This was EPIC!"
