"Right before I went to the theater last night, I received news that a colleague (and friend) had died. The cause of death, while not directly related to the subject matter of this play, likely pertains to mental health. Sitting in the theater, watching this play that literally shines a light on "every brilliant thing" in the world and in life, I was moved and all the more saddened. Theater does this - it can do this and it should do this. This play reminds you that life is a gift and considers, to a lesser extent, how people forget this.
