I also usually like Noel Coward. In Angels, O’Hara was fine, as always, and so was the rest of the cast, but the material did not equal the quality of the players. There is a very lengthy drinking/drunk slapstick scene that, while amusing at first, became repetitive, then tedious, then offensive, at least to me. After that, I found myself looking at my watch too often. Not that you asked, but the show this season that I really liked and can recommend enthusiastically is “Two Strangers.”"

Could be a lot better.
"Accents were too effectuated and overdone. Too difficult to capture the dialog especially with higher female voices and with all the yelling. Men were far easier to understand. You need to read the audience better…. They pay the bills. forget what the critics say. "

About Fallen Angels

Two upper-class wives, their husbands away for the day, share a few toasts to their pre-marital dalliances—with the same man, who just may be en route from France to visit. Old rivalries and past scandals bubble to the surface in this intoxicating romp from one of theatre’s comedy masters.
