Great Return to NYC
"This show is a success story of theater, and this production proves why. The cast was absolutely spectacular (major congrats to the understudy and swing who stepped in at the show!) and they had so much love for the work they were doing. I would not recommend the show if you are under 13 (strong language, violence, murder) but if you know the movie, the soundtrack, or the show entirely, I would definitely recommend this show as an audience member. With the extension that brought tickets to January 2026, go see it when you are able and enjoy the show while it stays in New York!"

Show Excellent - Venue not great!
"I thought that the show and the cast were excellent! They have some of the best voices I’ve ever heard with ranges that are insane. They all did so so good. And every seat was a good seat. There wasn’t a bad seat in there.
Unfortunately, because the venue is smaller, and more intimate, and has incredible acoustics, the performance was so very loud. For the first half I had to put my finger in my ear to block out some of the sound. It gave me a headache because it was just so loud. At intermission, I went out and the Manager, Jonathan, gave me some accessible headphones without the battery, which helped to dampen the sound (thank you). Had he not had those, I would have had to leave. The headphones worked, but I could still hear it plainly. I think they could have dialed it back by half, and still been OK. They also had a lot of big flashes, that were a bit unnecessary. They definitely need a warning for people who have seizures. Most Broadway plays do. I wouldn’t say it’s suitable for young children, as there’s a lot of mature scenes. Overall - the cast was excellent - I just wish it wasn’t so loud."
