A Hell of a Show
"Hell's Kitchen was above and beyond anything I expected. I was completely enthralled that the musical numbers flowed so well with the story that was being told. As the mother of a daughter who was 17 many years ago, I could see our relationship unfold on stage as the show went on and was so happy she was sitting with me in the theater. I laughed and I cried until the final curtain call. While some of the music was familiar, Alicia Keys provided a musical score that was both entertaining and thought-provoking. Seeing Christopher Jackson in the part of Davis was incredible, and Amanda Reid was a true star as Ali. I have to admit that my draw was seeing Kelsee Kimmel in the part of Jersey. She was just what I expected - honest, heartbreaking, strong, vulnerable, and with a voice that has an incredible range that gave her songs all the feels. Bravo to the cast, musicians and all the crew. It was 2.5 hours of joy. "

Great renditions of Alicia Keys music
"I really enjoyed this performance. The lead was excellent. Her voice was so beautiful. I was not really knowledgeable about Alicia Keys music, but I had friends recommend the musical, and I discovered that I really like her music. I'm a new fan! In fact, I think I liked the versions of her music in the musical better than her. (Don't tell her that!) my only critical comment might be that there were times when I couldn't really hear the vocalist because the band overpowered the vocalist. And also a lot of the words went by really fast so I couldn't understand them because of that. But that did not detract my appreciation of the performance and the vocalists
