"Having never been to New York before, I wanted to see a show that had a real connection to the city and also not being a fan of traditional type musicals this show appealed because the songs were by a real music star. It took a short time to adapt our non American ears to the accents on stage but we soon did and got into the characters and the story. The singing and dancing were amazing, the quality was so impressive. We loved the story and definitely could relate to the mother & teenage daughter relationship, there was humour and a lot of emotion on stage which really moved us. We loved the show and wouldn't hesitate to reccomend it."

Great despite many standbys
"I went to a Saturday matinee. I came to see the principal actor that plays Jersey. Of course the standby played that role for that show. In fact, there were several understudies in That show.

""Hell's Kitchen ' is an Excellent show of a sensitive story and subject. I admit that didn't know what "Hell's Kitchen " was based on until 2 hours before the show but I like good singing and musicals. I soon realized it was about a single mother thrown into the impossible task of raising and talented child in the middle of NYC. NYC can be exciting but it can be very dangerous. I can relate because my mother had to do the same for me in South Bronx. So it stuck a nerve that I didn't expect and I appreciated the extremely talented cast members performing a story line that was very well written. I found the main character's attachment to the piano was similar my playing basketball 🏀. Many youth need a mentor (or Coach) that will make them reach their full potential and not make their living situation an excuse for failure. I really appreciate the superb singing and talent that must have taken countless hours of practice to perfect. It's difficult for people to understand that. I sat front row by myself and thought about having to bring granddaughter and my kids , who are now adults, back to experience "Hell's Kitchen ". Thank you to the cast of "Hell's Kitchen " and thank you to Ms. Alicia Keys for sharing a difficult story of her personal life. Much appreciated 👏 💐 😌"

Masterpiece of Musical Theatre
"I didn't want to see another Juke Box Musical so this was way down on my list, but I am so very grateful that I changed my mind. There were enough AK songs that I did not know which made it feel like an original music show. The understudy for Ali, Gianna was so fantastic, I can't even imagine anyone being better at the role. All the singers were amazing, and I loved that there was some real dancing in the show. The harmonies were gorgeous, the story was strong and relatable, and the show made me feel so much. We laughed and we cried. I was awestruck! This is MT at its best!"
