"The cast of this show (and we saw the understudy for the lead) were high energy and incredibly talented. There are many layers to this story. It deals with many aspects of different types of relationships, i.e. parental, mentor, friends, love, etc. 4 of us went together to see it and we each had very different responses, some emotional and some intellectual. An Energetic and Stimulating Show!
"The show was exceptional, incorporating Alicia Keys' famous tunes into her historical background. The performers - playing her mother, father, and piano teacher- have remarkable voices, as did the young lady playing Alicia Keys. The female "friends" of the lead were tremendous also.
