"I liked the story. Even I didnt grow up anywhere near Hell’s Kitchen the turmoil you feel at 17 is very similar.
The main actress just has that verve & bouncy vibrance and knows her character.
The story arc has some nice comedic moments and a very dramatic climax.
I found most all the characters to be memorable. The songs of Ms Alicia Keys are used well to move the story forward and fit into the emotions as well.
It pulls you right in from the first scene.
It had all the feels: anger frustration flirtation 1st love sadness grief laughter. I loved it. "

Hells Kitchen exceeded my expectations
"My husband and I went to the Sunday matinee and found that the lead actress would be replaced by an understudy that day. I was sad because had heard a lot about Maleah Joi Moon. We were blown away by her replacement -Jade Milan. She was amazing as was the whole cast. Her mom - Shoshana Bean - and her dad - Brandon Victor Dixon - were so good. I enjoyed the story, the performances and of course, the music was a given. Very highly recommend seeing this musical!"

"I saw this show with my daughter and granddaughter and we all absolutely loved it. It had me dancing in my seat, laughing and crying. Didn’t know I could cry so hard at a play. But maybe because parts resonated personally with me. But when I looked over my daughter was holding my hand and her daughter’s hand in a particular part of the play. Singing and Dancing in our Seats!
"The music was incredible! Went with a group of 8 rising 10th graders and they absolutely loved this show. It was a little hard to understand what was being said/sung at some parts of the show, but maybe that was due to our seats being located in the mezzanine. Overall, would definitely recommend."

Exciting from the very start
"Love the way it started with the mother, Jersey and Ali, However, it was disappointing that after only 20 or 30 minutes, the lead actor had to do switched out due to an injury. I came from SF to see her and it was a total bummer! Her replacement was fabulous as well, but still.
I was in the balcony on Rojay and I am 5 foot one and could not see the top of the stage due to the balcony overhang. I think there needs to be some disclaimer when you buy a seat pass row G. Is there any kind of credit I could get for myself and two guests?
