The Characters were so well played you couldn't help but be riveted.
"I had a great experience, not a bad seat in the house and the acting was excellent. So glad I got to see the show before it closes this week.
The writers really developed the characters and that pulled you into the story and kept you thinking about them after the show. I actually couldn't believe it was over and wanted to see more."

A Powerful Exploration of the Human Spirit
"Proof is a complex and poignant play that masterfully explores family conflict, genius and mental illness, "isms" within academia, caregiving, grief, love, compassion, and human dignity. It starts a bit slowly, but stick with it; the unexpected twists will pull you in. As a retired math teacher, I especially appreciated the mathematical analogies woven throughout the story. Though it tackles some heavy themes, it ultimately feels hopeful and triumphant. Truly a gem."

Wonderful Show!
"I really loved the performances of all of the actors. I felt the actors’ strong emotions. I don’t feel that the NY Times adequately reviewed the show. I believe that it should have been nominated for some Tony’s."

Deeply moving….
"All four actors were sincerely authentic. I was so impressed with character development, the authenticity displayed in the relationships and the surprises throughout the play. In light of Ayo’s youth, I was pleasantly astounded by the depth that she brought to the daughter’s character. I will recommend the play to all of my friends."

Extraordinary take on an incredible play
"Prior to last weekend, I had only ever experienced "Proof" as the movie starring Gwyneth Paltrow. I remember loving it.
This production took everything that was great about that movie and found laugh out loud humor in the material. Ayo Edebiri's Kate displayed all of the vulnerability, fear, sadness, anger and defiance I was expecting. But her superpower was also extracting real, human laughter as well. She never pushed, or got out of character for the laughs, it was all organic to the material.
All four actors shined (I wasn't exactly surprised by Don Cheadle killing it, but I also adored Jin Ha's portrayal of Hal and disliked - as is appropriate for the character, Kara Young's Claire), but Ayo Edebiri was stunning in the lead. Definitely worth experiencing.
Also. I think it needs to be said. The ushers in this house took more time and energy helping guests and predicting problems/proactively solving them than I have ever seen on Broadway. I was on the upper floor with a weird foot arrangement. I'd over-walked as an out of shape tourist probably often does, and my slightly too-long legs were not comfortable in the seat I landed in. An usher saw my discomfort and helped me find a different, open seat that fixed my problem without inconveniencing anyone else. That meant a lot. "

Absolutely loved the play
"I absolutely loved everything about Proof.
The theater itself is small, cozy, and intimate — the kind of space where you feel almost inside the story, not just watching it from the audience.
The play is beautifully constructed: the opening, the development of the plot, the flashbacks, the emotional tension, and the gradual unfolding of the family dynamics. It touches on so many deep layers — love between family members, trust and distrust, affection and caution, closeness and distance.
What I especially loved is how restrained the relationships are. There are no endless “I love you” speeches, yet you feel the depth of everyone’s emotions. The love is there — complicated, quiet, sometimes painful, but very real.
The acting is powerful and emotionally charged. Every actor brings something honest and alive to the stage. But the main actress is truly extraordinary. She does not simply play the role — she lives it. Every moment feels real, raw, and deeply human.
A beautifully written, beautifully acted drama. I highly recommend seeing this play"

Pleasantly powerful.
"I saw the play on Sunday July 5th. It was freezing in the theatre. That’s the only negative thing I can think of. The entire cast was great. Everyone clearly gave it their all and they supported each other. Don Cheadle and Adrienne Warren were not there. At first I was disappointed because I’m a big fan of Mr. Cheadle’s work, but it turns out he wasn’t critical to the performance. Thomas Silcott was much more than adequate, as was Shayvawn Webster. Ayo Edebiri was simply outstanding. Her comedic moments felt true to her character and provided more depth. I did not expect such a powerful emotional ending. Bravo to the entire cast. 👏"
