"PROOF was intellectually engaging. The pace was a bit challenging, slow at times, moving at other times, with build-ups right before the ending of a scene. The transitions left you questioning, what's next. The 4 member cast of EDEBIRI, CHEADLE, HA, and YOUNG did an AWESOME and creative job in telling the story. It would have been good if the PLAYBILL actually had a description of what "PROOF" was about. One of the primary reasons for seeing the play, was that it was co-produced by President and First Lady Obama. I look forward to seeing more plays with their level of involvement and backing. Kudos to all involved. A great weekend in on Broadway in NYC "

Beyond brilliant!
"The performances of all 4 cast members were perfectly nuanced and impactful but Ayo Ediberi’s was a triumph! She is mesmerizing and Don Cheadle is a joy to behold as the story unfolds. It was breathtaking.
Couldn’t have enjoyed it more!"

Magnificent!
"I saw the original on Broadway with Mary Louise Parker, who I love and enjoyed it very much. I went to see this production because I love Don Cheadle and Kara Young. But Ayo Edebiri, who I recognized from The Bear was incredible too! And I'd never heard of Jin Ha, but he also is incredible. This production was fantastic from the first moment and was riveting all the way through. These actors are so polished that their bodily gestures were as good as their lines. I see lots of Broadway and Proof is right at the top of the list! Don't miss it!!!!"

Phenomenal cast
"Edebiri was captivating as a young woman, grieving the loss of a brilliant mind. She is misunderstood and underestimated. We've all experienced this at some point in our lives and she did it so well. Young was wonderful as a sister trying to do her best. Cheadle, do I need to elaborate? And Ha was so believable and when we didn't like him, we got it. Phenomenal."

Broadway needs more plays like this!
"The two leads were outstanding, nothing less than I expected from such talents. Of the supporting cast I have some reservations on the casting choice for Katie's sister.
The story line is as applicable to our times as when it was written. "

A story that needs to be told
"A simple but relevant story that maintains focus on mental health, family dynamics and relationships. Cheadle is the name but the 3 other mains (Edebiri, Young, Ha) carry the show. Ayo makes the transition from the small screen to the big stage in a way that seems this is where she belongs. Her physical presence is felt but balanced against the subtle nuance of a long pause or facial reaction. The topic is heavy but the tone is light due to some fun banter and laughter throughout. Cheers!"

excellent drama
"overall well done by the actors. We enjoyed the attitude that Ayo brought to Catherine's character as it helped provide good energy to the performance. Because of this, the play didn't feel weighted down by the depression of the characters. "
