Ragtime was an amazing production!
"The voices and musical ability of the actors were some of the best that I have heard in a Broadway musical. The story was moving and the actors magnified the emotion of the story through their portrayals of the characters beautifully. Ragtime may be too disturbing for children 12 and under, but I highly recommend it for adults of all ages. "

Ragtime was outstanding
"This production was equally relevant as a revival as when I saw it several decades ago. The voices and performances were outstanding, I loved everything about ragtime."

Broadway at its Best
"Terrific show, performances, design, orchestra…only thing that marred our enjoyment was our seats on the far left side (all we could get at the last minute). Cast members blocked the leads at several climactic moments."

Evocative of a racist America
"The sets and choreography were simple and very effective. Especially the revolving and rising sections of the stage, Brilliant voices all around and wonderful music. Great revival which evokes the dualities of the Ragtime era."

Magnificent production and theater configuration but sound only ok
"This is an absolutely fantastic production. Very touching storyline, tremendous performances. I avoid the orchestra in most theaters because people are taller than me, but here the incline is at higher angle and any seat looks pretty good for anyone of any height. The sound was only ok. My husband and I both had trouble hearing some spoken lines from second row of the loge Ctr left. I’ve never had any trouble hearing in any broadway theater before (or theaters in Philadelphia either), so it’s something about this theater, or maybe this location in the theater. If I go to this theater again, I’ll get orchestra seats. Hopefully, stage whispers or quick speech is clearer there."

Amazing!
"I loved the original production of Ragtime in 1998, but this revival brought the show to a new level. The combination of the smaller, more intimate theater, the incredible talent of the cast, and the phenomenal orchestra delivered a show that surpassed my already-high expectations. Within minutes of leaving the theater, I knew I had to make a return trip to NYC to see this show again. Seeing it again did not disappoint! Whenever I talk about the show, I get chills and goose flesh as the memories evoke many of the same feelings that flowed through me during the show. This is a show you not only enjoy because of the artistry, but you also experience emotions that reach the core of your being. "

Amazing
"Second time seeing Ragtime and liked it even more the second time around. The performances are stellar. The theater itself is very cold and seats a bit uncomfortable but worth it for such an amazing musical. "

Amazing Musical
"An amazing musical revival with more talent than should be allowed on one stage and a powerful message that, unfortunately, is still relevant 124 years later. It is so good and I prefer plays. "

Brilliant and not to be missed!
"This production of Ragtime exceeded my expectations, even AFTER it had won the Tony this year for best revivial of a musical. I've never before been to a show where there was a standing ovation after each and every song! From start to finish, the staging was thrilling. As we approach America's 250th, the subject matter could not be more timely: a richly textured story about the complexity of the American dream, celebrating its persistence and the human capacity for hope while forefronting all that still needs to be fixed, as we seek to fulfill the promise of a more perfect union. About Ragtime

Ragtime is a sweeping musical adaption of E.L. Doctorow’s novel that follows three fictional families in pursuit of the American Dream at the dawn of the 20th Century: Black pianist Coalhouse Walker, Jr. and his beloved Sarah, Jewish immigrant Tateh and his little girl, and a wealthy white family led by matriarch Mother. All grasping for the same dream, if only they can hold onto it.

Featuring a lush score by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens, a stirring book by Terrence McNally, and original orchestrations by William David Brohn, all of whom won Tony Awards for their work, Ragtime weaves fictional narratives with real historical figures and events, creating a rich tapestry that blurs the line between personal struggle and national identity, making history feel both intimate and epic.
