Ragtime
"My wife and I absolutely loved it. Both thought it was one of the best Broadway shows we've ever seen. Joshua Henry was off the chart fantastic as was Cassie Levi and the rest of the cast. I would highly recommend this play as it pulls you deep inside both the characters and the storyline. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did. "

Ragtime: the piano and them some
"Show recommended by someone on my flight from UK. I had no preconceived view having not read the book, but when I checked reviews were good. I can see why. An exploration of human endeavour against a veil of ragtime music. I found it a moving experience. Strong score, uniformly strong cast with amazing singing from some leads. "

Majestic production of Ragtime
"This is a stunning production of Ragtime. All of the cast is magnificent, from Joshua Henry, Caissie Levy and Brandon Uranowitz down to the supporting cast. Julie Benko, Ben Levi Ross and Nichelle Lewis were all wonderful in supporting roles. Don’t miss the opening number. Also, Nick Barrington and Ellie May Sennett are perfect as the Little Boy and the Little Girl. As for children, I would say it’s appropriate for age 11 and up due to serious storylines. "

One of my top 5 of all time best Broadway shows.
"I originally saw this 30 years ago and it is one I kept asking Broadway to bring back. The emotions this show generates through the music, performances, characters and the story is overwhelming. My wife & daughter were both crying. It is such a timely story for today’s current events. I would go again tomorrow. A must see. [I have probably seen 100 Broadway shows so saying it is top five says it all.]"

Incredible talent!
"Every actor had incredible talent! The story telling was incredible and shined a light on the issues of the early 1900s. The lead actor's voice was so powerful it gave you chills. At times you were filled with emotions and other times you cheered! Because the theatre is 3/4 round and the stage revolves, Any seat in the house is perfect! "

Bravura Performances
"Lincoln Center Theatre's "Ragtime," is spectacular. At Tony Award time, it should be in contention for several awards, particularly for the superb performances by Joshua Henry, Brandon Uranowitz, Nichelle Lewis and Ben Levi-Ross, choreography by Ellenore Scott and direction by Lear DeBessonet. The production aspects of the show - scenic design, costume design, lighting design, sound design - are superb, creating a perfect tableau for the era in which the show take place. It is a must see, a theatrical masterpiece."

About Ragtime

Ragtime is a sweeping musical adaption of E.L. Doctorow’s novel that follows three fictional families in pursuit of the American Dream at the dawn of the 20th Century: Black pianist Coalhouse Walker, Jr. and his beloved Sarah, Jewish immigrant Tateh and his little girl, and a wealthy white family led by matriarch Mother. All grasping for the same dream, if only they can hold onto it.

Featuring a lush score by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens, a stirring book by Terrence McNally, and original orchestrations by William David Brohn, all of whom won Tony Awards for their work, Ragtime weaves fictional narratives with real historical figures and events, creating a rich tapestry that blurs the line between personal struggle and national identity, making history feel both intimate and epic.
