A Musical that has everything...
"I really liked and appreciated the storyline - it's so relevant in today's culture. Despite some of the more grim events of the storyline, I felt hopeful in the end. "I enjoyed this production of Ragtime so much that we saw it once again on Saturday, this time taking my niece.
Even better the second time! Joshua Henry is probably the best voice on Broadway right now and he shines, as does the rest of the cast. Is the second act really one and a half hours? It is so propulsive that it fells like just ten minutes.
One of my top 5 shows ever, and I began seeing Broadway when I was 8. (I am 62 now.) I would even see it 3 times! Interestingly, while waiting on line for drinks at intermission, the couple in front and the man behind were also back to see it once again. It is that good."

Ragtime
Ragtime is a sweeping musical adaption of E.L. Doctorow’s novel that follows three fictional families in pursuit of the American Dream at the dawn of the 20th Century: Black pianist Coalhouse Walker, Jr. and his beloved Sarah, Jewish immigrant Tateh and his little girl, and a wealthy white family led by matriarch Mother. All grasping for the same dream, if only they can hold onto it.
