"There is little to find fault with in this fabulous production of “Ragtime”. The story is set in the early 1900’s yet the themes presented are timely, and seem particularly relevant in America today. The story and gorgeous musical numbers are movingly delivered, with astonishing performances by the actors in the central roles, and a tight and polished ensemble cast. I am so glad that I had an opportunity to see this very memorable show! "

Phenomenal Show and Cast Worthy of Tony's All Around!
"Casting for this show was phenomenal! Every actor embodied the character they portrayed on stage. Energy, voice, emotion, meaning, nothing was held back...everything was left on the stage! My only regret was not being able to see it again before leaving NYC."

Go and enjoy!
"I thought it was a beautifully earnest production with ironic references to our current political circumstances. The cast seems to be especially eager to convey that message to the audience. I saw Ragtime on Broadway a number of years ago and loved it then as typical Broadway entertainment. This production takes on a higher level of relevance. It is well worth attending. Many of us in the audience were actually moved to tears.

The best story abd performances
"The story line is so appropriate given what is going on in the country. Joshua Henry lives up to the original Coalhouse, but so does the entire cast. It is rare that the audience is so affected . A joy to see."

Inspirational and Compelling Musical!
"Extremely well done show with powerful story line and great music!
I’ve always been a fan of ragtime music by artists such as Scott Joplin, so this revival musical was a must to see. I saw the previous Broadway version in 1998 and the current version was equally great. Loved the Vivian Beaumont Theatre at Lincoln Center."

Better than the Original
"Ragtime in 1998 was my first Broadway show. Now I see one about once a month. This was such a good production, I saw it yesterday and already booked a reviewing; something I’ve only done one other time. The cast was phenomenal, the staging was awesome, and the theater was intimate. Loved everything about this show. "

Story for the century
"Ragtime was a truly amazing experience, thanks entirely to the phenomenal skill and passion of the entire cast. While the sets were bare, favoring a simple stage design, the ensemble's overwhelming talent ensured that the casts performance made up for the lack of set. Their commitment allowed the profound emotional and historical weight of the story to shine through unobstructed. Specifically, Cassie Levy’s breathtaking rendition of "Back to Before" and Joshua Henry’s commanding delivery of "Make Them Hear You" were moments of pure vocal artistry that will undeniably leave you speechless. This production is a triumphant reminder of how powerful theater can be when driven by brilliant performers. "

Loved this show before and love even more now!
"Ragtime is a mature show with strong themes and the company did a phenomenal job with this show. I wouldn’t recommend this show for anyone under 13 because of the content. However, throughout the production the ensemble was consistently engaged with really giving their all. The leads were also phenomenal. Grandfather was hilarious! Tateh was absolutely amazing and I loved seeing him on stage. Father’s scream at the end was bone chilling in the best way!! Even the kids in the production did such an amazing job! Ragtime will always be a must see show for me!"

About
Ragtime
Ragtime is a sweeping musical adaption of E.L. Doctorow’s novel that follows three fictional families in pursuit of the American Dream at the dawn of the 20th Century: Black pianist Coalhouse Walker, Jr. and his beloved Sarah, Jewish immigrant Tateh and his little girl, and a wealthy white family led by matriarch Mother. All grasping for the same dream, if only they can hold onto it.
Featuring a lush score by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens, a stirring book by Terrence McNally, and original orchestrations by William David Brohn, all of whom won Tony Awards for their work, Ragtime weaves fictional narratives with real historical figures and events, creating a rich tapestry that blurs the line between personal struggle and national identity, making history feel both intimate and epic.
