Great show, Tony-worthy
"This show is a lot of fun. The writers did a great job incorporating new themes to old shows. The cast and orchestra were wonderful. The vibe between the cast and audience was fantastic! Overall, a wonderful show. From our perspective in the mezz back row, there wasn’t a bad seat in the house."

Tony Award was definitely deserved!
"I think I truly laughed harder during this show than any other I have ever seen. And I see a ton of theater. Also, I cared so much about these characters that I actually shed a tear. I saw a matinee. Later that night they won the Tony award. Very well deserved!"

A real life fairy tale
"If you are a lover of Broadway musicals you will love. Schmigadoon. It's funny, with references to lyrics and music to shows of the past. Each and every cast member brings this fairy tale to life in song and dance, and has the unusual but positive opportunity to receive his or her individual recognition at the curtain call."

Old lady opinion
"I am in my 70s. My first broadway show was Funny Girl. I was hooked. I have tried to see every musical since. I say musical, because that’s what broadway is to me. Music, singing, dancing, and appropriate behavior. I want to leave the theatre smiling and humming songs. Schmigadoon was all that and more. Loved every minute. The “ good ole days” it truly was. Let’s have more of these shows!"

The Brightest, Funnest, Campiest New Familiar Musical on Broadway!
""Schmigadoon" was why I come to Broadway: to be lifted up with memorable music, fine performances, stellar dancing, and just plain fun. It's the musical for both those who love and hate musicals. It's not stop fun and the perfect mix of schmaltz and present-day charm. Absolutely loved it."

Spectactular Show!! Loved It!
"We smiled, laughed and enjoyed every minute of the show. The performers were all great, the ‘Sets’ were beautiful and cleverly integrated. I loved all the melodies that were ‘like’ those of other great musicals (such interested me the most). I would definately see it again the next time we travel to NYC. Note: Theater seating is very-very tight (i.e. less than coach seating on a discount airline)"

Highly recommend Schmigadoon for whole family
"The overall performance was outstanding; especially the direction, acting, musical references and adaptation, and scenic design. The choreography was exceptionally good, although I do think they could have varied it a bit in the first act (too much swishing of skirts). "

Work of Art.
"It was very close to the original show, Alex Brightman was an amazing pick for the lead of Dr. Josh Skinner. Annette Harada was absolutely brilliant, so was the actress that played Mildred Layton and she was hilarious."

About Schmigadoon!

Everybody needs an escape.

Welcome to Schmigadoon—the magical town where every day is a musical. Everybody has a song for everything, the corn is as high as an elephant’s eye, and the only bridge out of town leads nowhere. When one couple accidentally wanders in, they discover the only way to escape is by finding true love—which may or may not be with each other.

From Saturday Night Live’s Lorne Michaels and based on the award-winning Apple Original series from Universal Television, this brand-new comedy trapped inside a big Broadway musical is directed by Tony Award winner Christopher Gattelli (NewsiesDeath Becomes Her) with a book and Emmy Award-winning score by Cinco Paul (Despicable MeThe Secret Life of Pets).

Warning: You can never leave … without a smile.
