Great fun, especially for people who love the old musicals
"Loved the satire, songs that sort of sounded like the songs I knew from the musicals from the ‘50s and ‘60s. The sets, costumes etc were perfect and kudos to all the principals and the ensemble! "

"An extremely fun and whimsical production with a very talented cast. “Baby Talk” was hilarious, as well as McKenzie Kurtz’ performance. My wife and I loved the show. "

Do I know more than the American Theater Wing?
"I may not know more than the American Theater Wing, but I do know that I wholeheartedly agree with its selection Schmigadoon as Best Musical. I laughed. I cried. I was enthralled, entertained, and exhilarated. The performers were dazzling and the music and book were both kitch and high art at the same time. Come with high expectations and leave with a heartwarming experience that lingers for hours or, in my case days. "

High energy
"I did not know there is also a television show so I came in not familiar with it at all. The first five minutes were a little slow for me and I was questioning my decision to see it, but then it turned into a high energy nonstop of fun performance. Would see it again because I’m sure I missed some of the jokes and references to musicals past. Would recommend. "

Fun show / talented cast
"The cast and orchestra were fabulous - incredible singing, dancing and music. The show was really funny; not raunchy but some humor may go over younger children’s heads. Our two teens loved it. "

A Fever Dream
"This show was such a fever dream but I was there for every minute of it! We went with our teenage girls as well as my husband who is only into musicals when our girls are on stage. Even he enjoyed it!"

Funny all the way through.
"From the antics of the dancers, and superstar actors to the comedy duo, this was hilarious. I especially loved the way the couple played off of each other. The theater is quaint with comfortable seats. I could see, and hear everything from the top row of the Orchestra level. Be aware that the last row in Orchestra has the A/C blasting on you. It was 100° in NY, and I didn't think to bring a jacket for the theater, lol."

A Breath of Fresh Air!
"Aside from the basic one-line plot, I knew absolutely nothing about this show. We knew we wanted to see something fun and along the lines of what one thinks of when they think of a big Broadway musical. Completely blown away by the cast, the references to other musicals, and the fantastic choreography. Can we talk about set design for a sec though? It was simply stunning! I fought the urge to try walking on stage to touch it all. Just spectacular. Lots of laughter and maybe a few tears. Really well-done show. *If you are not a "love is love" type of person, please stay home. Don't ruin the beauty of this show for others in the audience with your negativity.*"

Something different
"Happy, fun and a bit different. Sexual references throughout but mostly would go over the heads of younger kids. I went with a 14 & 16 y/o. Funny with 16 y/o was not so sure with 14y/o. "

A good old fashioned style Broadway musical.
"I thought it was very well done and very entertaining. Great dancing and terrific songs which borrowed heavily from the great musicals. Very tongue-in-cheek. At 2 hours 30 minutes it was a bit long. "

Great Hommage to the classic musicals of the 40-50
"I truly enjoyed every minute of the show. The musicals that they pay tribute to are some of my favorites. It is so cleverly written, especially the music. To be able to bring you back to the musicals that the songs represent is incredible. Each one gives you that hint of the musical it came from, but so original and so unique. It’s funny, fun, and great entertainment for everyone. I’ve seen clips of the TV version, and I’m so grateful that they toned it down so children can enjoy it as well. It’s a great family show, a lot of laughs, great story and incredible music. Can’t wait to see how it turns out at the Tonys. "

Tongue and Cheek romp through a host of musicals
"If you've seen the Apple TV version which this show is based on you will have a good time seeing the live Broadway version. Even if you haven't it's a fun, silly story filled with music you'll recognize with a twist on the words. I've already recommended it to a friend. "

Hilarious, perfect for musical theatre buffs and newcomers and touching too
"Script is so funny, score so infectious, sets and costumes on point and perfectly cast. An affectionate yet knowing and droll spoof of classic American musicals of the golden era (especially of Rodgers and Hammerstein) that also touches the heart while gently calling out what has changed in social mores and culture ( for the better). About Schmigadoon!

Everybody needs an escape.

Welcome to Schmigadoon—the magical town where every day is a musical. Everybody has a song for everything, the corn is as high as an elephant’s eye, and the only bridge out of town leads nowhere. When one couple accidentally wanders in, they discover the only way to escape is by finding true love—which may or may not be with each other.

From Saturday Night Live’s Lorne Michaels and based on the award-winning Apple Original series from Universal Television, this brand-new comedy trapped inside a big Broadway musical is directed by Tony Award winner Christopher Gattelli (NewsiesDeath Becomes Her) with a book and Emmy Award-winning score by Cinco Paul (Despicable MeThe Secret Life of Pets).

Warning: You can never leave … without a smile.
