"So much talent and humor! I have seen many shows on broadway and this is one of the best. As far as children perhaps a PG 13 rating for language and sexual references that are light hearted, but if youre really sensitive it might make you uncomfortable with younger children, but I think most of it would go over their heads"

A Broadway spectacle
"If you like classic musicals, big dance numbers, and lots laughs then Schmigadoon is for you! When we were choosing our shows for our trip it felt like we were lacking in big ensemble fun musicals and Schmigadoon provides just that. The costumes are colorful and gorgeous, the pacing is quick and funny, and the cast is all having a blast. So so fun to watch. "

Joyful, Bright Show
"The story moves swiftly but cogently, with wonderful humor and performances. The costumes and style are as joyful and fresh as the numbers. "

Great!
"I wanted to take my daughter to a show and dinner for her 30th birthday. I have never seen Schmigadoon on TV but when my daughter said she wanted to see this I looked it up, saw that it was a musical, bought tickets and crossed my fingers. I loved it and so did she. The singing, the dancing -- the overall talent -- the costumes and set were all incredible. I can't remember the last time I laughed so much in the theater! The only negative was a corny wrap-up near the end, but even that didn't dim the fun. Now I am going to get a trial Apple TV subscription to check it out. If you're looking for a fun night out, I highly recommend! "

A good old fashioned style Broadway musical.
"I thought it was very well done and very entertaining. Great dancing and terrific songs which borrowed heavily from the great musicals. Very tongue-in-cheek. At 2 hours 30 minutes it was a bit long. "

Great Hommage to the classic musicals of the 40-50
"I truly enjoyed every minute of the show. The musicals that they pay tribute to are some of my favorites. It is so cleverly written, especially the music. To be able to bring you back to the musicals that the songs represent is incredible. Each one gives you that hint of the musical it came from, but so original and so unique. It’s funny, fun, and great entertainment for everyone. I’ve seen clips of the TV version, and I’m so grateful that they toned it down so children can enjoy it as well. It’s a great family show, a lot of laughs, great story and incredible music. Can’t wait to see how it turns out at the Tonys. "

Tongue and Cheek romp through a host of musicals
"If you've seen the Apple TV version which this show is based on you will have a good time seeing the live Broadway version. Even if you haven't it's a fun, silly story filled with music you'll recognize with a twist on the words. I've already recommended it to a friend. "

Hilarious, perfect for musical theatre buffs and newcomers and touching too
"Script is so funny, score so infectious, sets and costumes on point and perfectly cast. An affectionate yet knowing and droll spoof of classic American musicals of the golden era (especially of Rodgers and Hammerstein) that also touches the heart while gently calling out what has changed in social mores and culture ( for the better). Very Fun! Cast is amazing!
"As a huge fan of the Apple TV+ original, this show did not disappoint! The cast is very funny and gives it their all! They bring the characters to life! Alex Brightman as Josh Skinner is super funny and perfectly plays on Sara Chase’s amazing performance as Melissa Gimble. Overall a fun show with many adult jokes! You don’t need to watch the show to see it, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t watch the show at all! Great job to the cast of Schmigadoon!"

A Frolicking Spoof on many Past Musicals

About
Schmigadoon!
Everybody needs an escape.
Welcome to Schmigadoon—the magical town where every day is a musical. Everybody has a song for everything, the corn is as high as an elephant’s eye, and the only bridge out of town leads nowhere. When one couple accidentally wanders in, they discover the only way to escape is by finding true love—which may or may not be with each other.
From Saturday Night Live’s Lorne Michaels and based on the award-winning Apple Original series from Universal Television, this brand-new comedy trapped inside a big Broadway musical is directed by Tony Award winner Christopher Gattelli (Newsies, Death Becomes Her) with a book and Emmy Award-winning score by Cinco Paul (Despicable Me, The Secret Life of Pets).
