a Fangtastic time
"This is our 2nd time seeing this despite it being a 5 hour drive each way. We absolutely loved it in April and just knew we had to see it again. Now we're trying to plan another trip up. The music and performances were incredible. Whether you were a fan of the 1987 movie or a brand new fan I think it is a great time. There are funny parts, emotional parts and ultimately it is about love and belonging. May be frightening for the very young but should be acceptable for 9-90 as they say."

"I have found my new favorite show - and the hands-down, absolutely awe-inspiring production I have ever seen! I am a Thespian troupe director/ theatre teacher - who is quite familiar with the year 1987 from personal HS experience. This production has something for everyone: beautiful harmonies balanced with songs that are hard-core and gut-wrenching, set-sound-lighting and special effects that make magic happen, and a cast that is so invested in their characters' stories that audience members cannot help but enjoy the ride from start to finish. Got last-minute obstructed view seats to see it for the first time in July, insisted that my family come see if with me in better orchestra seats in August - and have planned a group field trip for 50 of my HS students to come back in October. Everyone must see this show. It is official, I am obsessed!"

Very well done, very good adaptation
"Great first timer, but unbelievable it is his first time on Broadway! The females killed it; clearly one has won a Tony and one will soon. To play David is extremely hard, it was an iconic role; fantastic job pulling it off. Entire cast was energy and talent. Set design and adaptations were perfect for the stage."
"As a Gen Xer who has been obsessed with the Lost Boys movie since she was a teen, I have been following the progression of this production since it was first announced. When my favorite Broadway actress, Shoshana Bean, was announced as Lucy I knew I had to get to NYC to see it.
The full cast was simply perfection--from Tony-award-winning Bean and Bourzgui to the oiled up sax player, who provided a comedic break that was true to the movie's cultlike fandom, and every actor in between. The original songs are exactly what the play needs to move it through the action and give a voice to each character's inner self. The sets are sublime and utilize every inch of the stage space in a way that captures your eyes and keeps them focused on everything going on.
There were a few subtle differences from the movie that I was not sure I would like, but by the time I got to the end, I realized how those changes were integral to the themes of this updated, more robust version of the story.
For anyone who loves the original Lost Boys movie, or vampires, or 80s movies, or theater, or Shoshana---you have to see this yourself! If I lived closer I would see this again and again. This is truly a phenomenal production that kept one of my absolute favorite movies true to itself while giving it a stage glow up that I did not know my favorite vampire tale needed. "
