Good Story, Excellent Performances and Memorable Songs
"I may have read "The Outsiders" as a teenager, but if I did I don't remember it, so this story was new to me. While a bit reminiscent of "Westside Story" with two rival teenage groups, the show was unique unto itself. The choreography, staging and performances were all excellent, with some of the best voices and most memorable songs I've heard on Broadway in a long time. Artistically done. Vibrant characters, great song and dance, clever effects
"I liked the minimalism of the production, it's use of black and white lighting effects, the way the cast moved around boards and tires to shape and reshape objects of use. Music, song and movement were exciting. Story line however was kind of ordinary, rival groups of teens in a cityscape. Reminiscent of West Side Story."

Great adaption but not suitable for children.
"There were some violent scenes in the play and the script used language not appropriate for children.
Overall it was a great adaption of the book and movie. Very creative set design.
One of the actors signed autographs outside the theater at the end of the performance which was very thoughtful. "

Great show with tough material
"This is not your typically uplifting story…
That said, the performances and music were excellent. If you want traditional Broadway with a super talented ensemble this is really it.
Our Pony Boy was a standout as was the spectacularly orchestrated stage craft.
And while the first act was just a little dragged out, the second half really brought it home. Highly recommend."

Simple & Stunning
"I have seen more than 45 shows on Broadway, each one amazing in it's own way, but this show was absolutely AMAZING! I was 14 when The Outsiders movie released and I didn't know what to expect on stage. The stage is simply set but manages to transform completely for every scene into something new. The fight scene is like nothing I have ever scene before! An absolute must see."

"Over the past 2 years, I have seen over 20 different Broadway shows. There are some of the old standards to witness no doubt just to say you were there, but if you want a near perfectly casted true Broadway experience with singing, acting, choreography and setting The Outsiders is by far the best show you will see.
The male vocals are unmatched, the just in tears at times to witness the talent.

Be an Insider for The Outsiders
"I had recently read this excellent book about the travails of teenagers; both the "insiders - wealthy, privileged teens (socs)" and the "outsiders (greasers)" - teens all-too-often living on the edge with little money and/or adequate family guidance to assist their offspring with the needed tools to navigate the seas of adolescence. With song, dance, and pathos, The Outsiders provides the audience with rage, sorrow, hopefulness, and tears."

Book brought to life
"My entire family, ranging in ages from 18-57, and who all read the book back in middle school, thoroughly enjoyed this play. Very entertaining, good choreography and acting. On the night we saw it (6/11/25) it appears there were numerous replacement performers, maybe an entire 2nd cast. We still loved the play but some of the character’s enunciation made it difficult to understand some of the dialogue and songs, especially since we were not at all familiar with the songs. Even with these shortcomings I’d still highly recommend it."

Great Story!
"The outsiders is a classic story and the play was amazing sticking to the plot. The actors(actresses) we so enthusiastic and brought the characters to life. I had a hard time hearing the song lyrics though. Not sure if there was a mic issue but I have seen Broadqat shows before and never had an issue with having the songs sounds muffled but the speaking marks crystal clear. That would be my only complaint and several others in my area stated the same complaint. This was my granddaughters first show in NYC and she enjoyed it very much. Great theater staff and amazing theater as well. Clean and friendly. "
