Oscar Schmoscar! Liza Visits Paula Abdul (Awkwardly) at VH1 Divas 2009

Though she wasn’t on the bill, it’s only right that Liza Minnelli was in attendance at VH1 Divas 2009. Host Paula Abdul pulled the queen of Broadway divas out of the audience, pretending she didn’t know her just to get Minnelli to introduce herself as “Liza… with a Z!” Watch as Abdul fumbles through the act (who writes this stuff?!) while Liza reminisces about buying about lingerie with the former Idol judge, then somehow ends up holding Abdul’s glittery shoes. Sound awkward? It kinda was. But it’s Liza and Paula! How can you not love them?
