As usual, a late January freeze set in at Broadway box offices, with every show’s grosses down from the previous week. The frontrunners remained steady, with newcomer A Little Night Music earning a place in the top five on both lists. The Broadway revival of Bye Bye Birdie closed on a high note, climbing to the top five for capacity during a week in which nine shows played to houses that were less than 70% full.
