It’s always a treat to welcome a thoughtful, beautifully acted American play to Broadway, and that’s exactly what Donald Margulies has provided with his new drama Time Stands Still. The story of a wounded war photographer and her struggle to return to civilian life, the play features the unbeatable four-person ensemble of Laura Linney, Alicia Silverstone, Brian d’Arcy James and Eric Bogosian. With that kind of pedigree, it’s no wonder theater lovers of all kinds braved bitter winds to come out for opening night at Manhattan Theatre Club’s Samuel J. Friedman Theatre on January 28. After the show, the company and guests headed to Planet Hollywood to have the Time of their lives.
