If you’ve been meaning to catch a Broadway show, now’s the time: Even the biggest hits have some empty seats in February (well, not Liev & Scarlett in A View from the Bridge, which grossed a verrry healthy $802,066 and played to 99.93% of capacity at the often-unloved Cort Theatre). In fact, several long-running musicals find themselves mired among the “underdogs.” Don’t be fooled by Time Stands Still’s appearance on that list, however: MTC’s Samuel J. Friedman Theatre is one of the smallest Broadway houses (650 seats), and the play’s grosses jumped more than $80,000 from the previous week, thanks to strong reviews.
