A holiday weekend and Valentine’s Day? What better time to brave the snowy streets and warm up at a Broadway show? Almost every show increased its grosses from the previous week, with four of the top five frontrunners rising above $1 million. Family-oriented shows saw a welcome uptick, with shows such as West Side Story, Mary Poppins and In the Heights seeing jumps of $200,000 or more at the box office. One new show joined the Broadway roster as The Miracle Worker gave its first three previews at Circle in the Square.
