You can bet Broadway producers are happy to wave bye-bye to the snowy month of February. With two shows newly open (The Miracle Worker, A Behanding in Spokane) and four in previews (including the week’s new entry, Come Fly Away), March promises to bring a welcome increase in grosses across the board. For now, Broadway remains in a lull, with only nine of 28 shows playing to greater than 80% of capacity. A bright spot, in addition to the usual musicals, is A View from the Bridge, which tops the capacity chart and also makes the frontrunners’ list for grosses. Unfortunately, the show will apparently not extend its limited run past April 4, making way for another starry revival, Fences.
