With a stream of Easter visitors flowing through Times Square, Broadway’s box offices got a hot holiday boost, besting the previous week’s already sunny numbers. Exiting drama A View From the Bridge went out with a bang, closing out at $909,167 in its final week and playing to a whopping 101% capacity. (Also exiting on April 4: All About Me and The Miracle Worker.) New kid on the block American Idiot continued its strong opening with $568,000 in its second week of previews, as did the starry Broadway revival of Promises, Promises, which played to 100% capacity for the second week running. The Addams Family also continues its hot streak, holding steady at $1.3 million for the third week in a row while playing to 94% capacity.
