The Tony Awards Administration Committee met on April 8 for the third time to decide the eligibility of six Broadway productions (Time Stands Still, The Miracle Worker, A Behanding in Spokane, Next Fall, Looped and All About Me). The Tony administrators will meet for the fourth and final time on April 30 to make decisions regarding the final shows of the 2009-2010 season. The Tony ceremony will be held on June 13 at Radio City Music Hall.
Laura Linney will be considered eligible in the Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Play category for her performance in Time Stands Still.
Sam Rockwell, Anthony Mackie and Zoe Kazan will be considered eligible in the Best Performance by a Featured Actor/Actress in a Play categories respectively for their performances in A Behanding in Spokane.
Patrick Breen will be considered eligible in the Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Play category for his performance in Next Fall.
In the case of Time Stands Still, the four-person cast was billed below the title, which indicates that Linney’s co-stars Eric Bogosian, Brian d’Arcy James and Alicia Silverstone will be considered in the Featured Actor and Actress categories. In Behanding, only Christopher Walken will be considered in the Leading Actor category, even though the entire four-person cast is billed above the title. In Next Fall, Breen is the only member of the six-person cast who will be considered in the leading category.
All other decisions were consistent with opening night credits.
