Broadway box office results changed very little from the previous week, with the same seven musicals topping $1 million and Wicked and The Lion King pulling in $600,000 to $700,000 more than that. (The real news of the summer is the steady climb of Best Musical winner Memphis, which is now grossing more than $900,000 a week.) As South Pacific edges toward its closing date, the return of Kelli O’Hara has pushed the show back onto the frontrunners’ list for capacity. Meanwhile Broadway said farewell to the revival of Lend Me a Tenor after a five-month run at the Music Box Theatre.
