Pulitzer Prize winner Lawrence Wright will perform his one-man show The Human Scale from October 2 to 30. The show will premiere as part of The New Yorker Festival on October 2 and continue performances through October 31 at 3LD Art and Technology Center. Public Theater Artistic Director Oskar Eustis will direct the piece.
Wright is a staff member of The New Yorker and is the author of several nonfiction books including the Pulitzer-winning The Looming Tower: Al-Qaeda and the Road to 9/11 and Twins: Genes, City Children and The Mystery of Identity . He previously performed another solo show, My Trip to Al-Qaeda, at the New Yorker Festival in 2006. He also co-wrote the 1998 film The Siege and the TV film Noreiga: God's Favorite.
The Human Scale will focus on the continuing political conflict in Gaza. The show features lighting design by Deb Sullivan, video design by Aaron Harrow, sound design by Matt Hubbs and scenic consultation by David Korins.
