Additional casting has been set for the York Theatre Company’s upcoming Musicals in Mufti concert performances of Coco, starring the previously announced Andrea Marcovicci as fashion designer Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel along with Jessica Grové and Charles Kimbrough. The 1969 tuner, which features music by Andre Previn and book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner, will be presented September 10-12 at the Theatre at Saint Peter’s, directed by Mark Kaufmann.
In addition to Marcovicci, Grové and Kimbrough, Coco will feature Susan Blommaert (Grease), Lewis Cleale (Spamalot), Tom Galantich (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels), Brian Hissong (West Side Story international tour), Julie Kotarides (Miss Liberty, Musicals in Mufti), Robert Lenzi (South Pacific), Peter Lockyer (South Pacific), Michelle Lookadoo (The Little Mermaid), Heather Parcells (A Chorus Line) and David Turner (Sunday in the Park with George).
The fall 2010 Musicals in Mufti season continues with The Roar of the Greasepaint–The Smell of the Crowd (October 1-3), I Remember Mama (October 8-10) and I Love My Wife (October 22-24). Complete casting for the remaining shows will be announced shortly.
