Transformers and Jennifer's Body star Megan Fox may be eyeing a dramatic turn on Broadway, according to Showbiz Spy. "Megan is desperate to get away from her Transformers image and move on with her acting career,” a source close to Fox told the website. "Theater really appeals to her. She has nothing lined up yet, but she’s open to offers. She hopes to mix theater work with some smaller indy movies and only do big movies if they are right for her."
After a stint on TV's Hope and Faith, Fox catapulted to fame thanks to the Transformers franchise and feels she didn't have much time to hone her craft and grow due to the action film's demanding schedules. "The thing is, I didn’t grow up in a television show or in theater where you can grow as an actress without all eyes being on you," Fox said. "My first job was Transformers, and I have kind of had to grow with each project. I was under an incredible amount of anticipation with everyone watching me. I feel like the more I work the better I will become."
Fox might seek the advice of some knowledable theater friends should she decide to make the jump to the Great White Way. She starred opposite American Idiot's John Gallagher Jr. and Our Town's Michael Shannon in this summer's feature film adventure Jonah Hex.
