It’s impossible for a day to pass without seeing a star respond to the news of a rise in LGBT teen suicides by recording their own message telling kids that “it gets better.” Now, thanks to two up-and-coming musical theater songwriters, the message has gained a toe-tapping beat. “It Gets Better,” with music and lyrics by Jay Kuo (whose musical Allegiance is Broadway-bound) and Blair Shepard, features Broadway stars like Orfeh, John Tartaglia, Matt Doyle, Carly Jibson, Jose Llana, Christina Sajous, Stephanie Umoh and Ann Harada leading a joyous chorus. Proceeds from the song, which will be available on iTunes on Tuesday, October 19, will benefit The Trevor Project. And it gets better: the entire recording session was preserved in the music video below. Enjoy!
