Tony Award Winner Janet McTeer to Star in Fox Pilot Weekends at Bellevue

Tony Award winner Janet McTeer will co-star in the Fox TV pilot Weekends at Bellevue, according to Deadline.com. McTeer has been cast as the head of psychiatry at Bellevue Hospital in a proposed drama series based on a memoir by Dr. Julie Holland.

McTeer is a Tony winner for A Doll’s House and was nominated for a Tony for playing the title role in Mary Stuart. She has also appeared on Broadway and in the London productions of God of Carnage. The actress received an Oscar nomination for Tumbleweeds and an Emmy nomination for Into the Storm.

In other TV casting news from Deadline.com, Broadway.com Fresh Face Heather Lind will join HBO’s Boardwalk Empire in the recurring role of a maid named Katy. Lind played Jessica, the daughter of Al Pacino as Shylock, in the recent Broadway revival of The Merchant of Venice.
