Things are getting a whole lot nuttier down in Nashville as the world premiere production of the Broadway-bound musical The Nutty Professor begins performances at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center. Directed by the film’s original star Jerry Lewis and featuring music by the late Marvin Hamlisch and a book and lyrics by Tony winner Rupert Holmes, the show stars Michael Andrew as Professor Julius Kelp, a nerdy scientist who transforms into the smooth-talking Buddy Love. After Buddy snags the girl of Julius’ dreams, Julius must discover a way to make the potion last longer and keep Buddy around for good.
