Tony winner Kristin Chenoweth will co-host the third annual American Country Awards alongside country singer Trace Adkins, according to The New York Daily News. Adkins and Chenoweth will reunite for the December ceremony, which airs on FOX, after co-hosting last year's telecast.
“We had a blast last year and I plan to pull out all the stops to make sure everyone has a good time,” Chenoweth said.
Chenoweth was recently forced to drop out of TV’s The Good Wife after suffering an on-set injury. On September 7 she will appear on Live! With Kelly, and will serve as Anderson Cooper’s guest co-host on the second season premiere of Anderson Live on September 10.
Chenoweth won a Tony Award for You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Her additional Broadway credits include Wicked, Promises, Promises, The Apple Tree, Epic Proportions and Steel Pier. Her film and TV credits include Annie, Bewitched, Stranger Than Fiction, The West Wing, The Pink Panther, Glee, Running With Scissors, GCB and Pushing Daisies, for which she won an Emmy Award. On the big screen, Chenoweth can currently be seen in the romantic action comedy Hit and Run.
