The Film Society, the first full-length play by Tony nominee Jon Robin Baitz, is back in New York for a 25th anniversary revival. Based in part on Baitz's years living in Apartheid-era South Africa, the play centers on a young teacher at a boys' school who struggles to keep the world of politics out of his extracurricular film club. Helmed by Keen Company artistic director Jonathan Silverstein, The Film Society opened on October 1 at the Clurman Theatre on Theatre Row, starring Tony nominee Euan Morton, Roberta Maxwell, Mandy Siegfried, David Barlow and more. After the show, the company joined Baitz and friends to celebrate the off-Broadway return of this thought-provoking drama.
