Oliver Chris will reprise his role of Prince William in the West End transfer of the Almeida Theatre's King Charles III. He will star opposite the previously announced Tim Pigott-Smith, who plays the titular role. The show, directed by Rupert Goold, will play a limited engagement at the Wyndham’s Theatre from September 2 through November 29. Opening night is set for September 11.
Additional newly announced cast members include Katie Brayben and Miles Richardson. They join Richard Goulding, Nyasha Hatendi, Adam James, Margot Leicester, Tom Robertson, Nicholas Rowe, Tafline Steen and Lydia Wilson.
In the future history play by Mike Bartlett, the Queen is dead, and after a lifetime of waiting, the Prince Charles ascends the throne. The controversial play explores the people underneath the crowns, the unwritten rules of our democracy and the conscience of Britain's most famous family.
