George Salazar Will Join Nick Blaemire & Ciara Renee for Tick, Tick...BOOM! Off-Broadway

Broadway alum George Salazar will complete the cast of the off-Broadway return of Tick, Tick…BOOM! He takes on the role of Michael and joins the previously announced Nick Blaemire and Ciara Renée in the Keen Company production. The Jonathan Larson musical, directed by Jonathan Silverstein, will begin performances on October 4 at the Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row.

Salazar made his Broadway debut in the 2011 revival of Godspell alongside his Tick, Tick…BOOM! co-star Blaemire. His additional credits include Here Lies Love and F#%king Up Everything off-Broadway, as well as Broadway Bounty Hunter as Barrington Stage company this summer and Spring Awakening on tour.

The semi-autobiographical musical follows aspiring composer Jon (Blaemire) as he approaches his thirtieth birthday. While preparing for the workshop debut of his new musical, he also balances his relationship with Susan (Renée), his long-term girlfriend, and Michael (Salazar), his best friend.

The revival will open officially on October 20 and run through November 20.
