Presley Ryan Steps In as Lydia in Beetlejuice; Sophia Anne Caruso Plays Final Performance

Beetlejuice is getting a new leading lady. Understudy Presley Ryan has taken over the role of Lydia in the Tony-nominated musical; she will remain in the role through February 23. Original cast member Sophia Anne Caruso, who exercised her contractual out to pursue television work, played her final performance on February 19. The announcement of a permanent replacement is expected next week.

Ryan is the original Lydia understudy of Beetlejuice. Her other credits include Broadway's Fun Home and the national tour of Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

Beetlejuice began previews on March 28, 2019 and officially opened on April 25. As previously announced, the musical will play its final performance at the Winter Garden Theatre on June 6.
