SIX: The Musical Sets Closing Date, Ending Its Broadway Reign

SIX: The Musical will play its final Broadway performance on January 3, 2027. The musical is directed by Lucy Moss and Jamie Armitage, with a book and Tony-winning score by Toby Marlow and Moss. At the time of its closing, it will have played 47 previews and 2,178 regular performances at the Lena Horne Theatre.
From Tudor queens to pop icons, SIX shows the wives of Henry VIII taking the microphone to reclaim their identities out of the shadow of their infamous spouse—remixing 500 years of historical heartbreak into a celebration of 21st century girl power.
The musical debuted at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2017 and premiered in the West End in January 2019. The Broadway run began in February 2020 but had to halt performances on March 12 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It then resumed on September 17, 2021 and officially opened on October 3.
The Broadway production currently stars Chloe Tucker Caine as Anne Boleyn, Aimee Atkinson as Katherine Howard, Khaila Wilcoxon as Catherine of Aragon, Stephanie Jae Park as Catherine Parr, Natalie Paris as Jane Seymour and Olivia Donalson as Anna of Cleves. Lauryn Adams, Aryn Bohannon, Maggie Likcani and Aiyana Smash serve as alternates.
While making their Broadway debuts, Paris and Atkinson can also be seen in SIX The Musical Live!, a live capture film recorded at London's Vaudeville Theatre, with the original West End Queens reprising their roles. The film was released in U.S. and Canadian movie theaters on August 14.
The musical was nominated for eight Tony Awards in 2022, including Best Musical. It won two with Marlow and Moss taking home the trophy for Best Original Score, and Gabriella Slade winning for her costume design. Marlow became the first openly non-binary person to win a Tony Award.
SIX features choreography by Carrie-Anne Ingrouille, scenic design by Emma Bailey, costume design by Slade, lighting design by Tim Deiling and sound design by Paul Gatehouse. The score features orchestrations by Tom Curran with music supervision by Joe Beighton and U.S. music supervision by Roberta Duchak.
The national tour of SIX continues on October 25 in Baltimore, Maryland and will play additional cities throughout the U.S. The production is also running in London’s West End and on tour in the U.K. and Australia.
