Wicked, Wife & Town Are Tops with Outer Critics

The hit musical Wicked picked up the most 2004 Outer Critics Circle Award Awards with four, including Outstanding Broadway Musical, when the winners were announced on May 2. Wonderful Town followed closely behind with three awards, including Outstanding Revival of a Musical. The Broadway shows Avenue Q, Golda's Balcony and Prymate were all ineligible for the awards.

Outer Critics Circle is an organization of writers covering Broadway for out-of-town newspapers, national publications and other media. The winners of the 54th annual award ceremony will be toasted at a special reception at Sardi's on Thursday, May 27.
