Allan Knee's Syncopation has found a home at the Longacre Theatre, where it will begin performances on October 2. Neve Campbell and Michael Hayden, previously reported as in talks to star in the drama, are now confirmed as the play's stars.
Syncopation takes place in turn-of-the-century Manhattan and centers on the unlikely romance between an impassioned meat-packer Hayden and a soul-searching seamstress Campbell, who find purpose and love in a Lower East Side make-shift dance studio.
Syncopation, directed by John Tillinger and choreographed by John O'Connell known for his work on the Baz Luhrmann movies Moulin Rouge! and Strictly Ballroom, is scheduled to officially open on Broadway on October 24.
