Broadway Grosses: Pre-Holiday Crowds Keep Box Offices Perky

Though Broadway’s box office numbers were down from the Thanksgiving holiday, it was a solid week nonetheless, with six shows topping $1 million, including the town’s newest smash hit, Billy Elliot, and the seasonal treat White Christmas. Meanwhile, two play revivals, All My Sons and The Seagull, announced that both productions had recouped their investment, and Liza with a Z got off to a smashing start, grossing $554,543 in Ms. Minnelli's first four performances at the Palace Theatre.
