100% entertainment!
"This is such a fabulous show - incredibly funny with a ton of laugh out loud moments, but also heart. It’s kind of Wicked meets The Life of Brian, in musical form. The musuc is incredibly well written, and the lyrics are perfect. The production was amazing. Every singer was fantastic, the band was top notch, and the scene and costume changes incredible. Loved every second! "

It's not for the Faint of Heart
"If you are easily offended by strong language, or mockery of religion, don't come to this show. If you take the humor of South Park (which no surprise the South Park creators made this,) I have a show for you! Nearly all the songs were fantastic, and even the ones I found okay still got at least a few chuckles from me. The only fault with the production itself was one shot during the play I could barely make out (I was in the super far left of the audience.) However, aside from that minor gripe, I would highly suggest this."

Breaking my Broadway seal
"As someone who has been wanting to attend a Broadway show and likes to laugh but isn’t a fan of musicales, I wanted to pick the right show. After some research and feedback from people who have either gone or heard of the shows, this one stood out. What I kept hearing was "the show hilarious", "really funny", "sooo good". And it lived up the hype. Worth running from the subway and in the rain to make it on time. Such a talented cast and great performances, story and all. Great introduction to Broadway."

I knew it would be funny but....
"Knowing who the creators are I went into it knowing it would be funny but I had no idea of the plot. I thought it was hilarious and would recommend to anyone that has a great sense of humor and isn't easily offended. "

NOT a show for children. (My inner child loved it!)
"Great performance by all! I appreciate the spotlight on the interpretation of religious text being a main character. BRAVO! Hats off to Sydney Quildon and Diego Enrico who are particularly spectacular. Each brings a wondrous innocence to their characters that you can't escape from start to finish. The entire cast was marvelous. The set was very well done and the costumes/outfits had me rolling with laughter at the "charitable influence of common American fashion (??)". Again, well done. Our group thoroughly enjoyed our experience with the casts performances and thank them for entertaining us so wonderfully."

Best Show on Broadway ever
"hysterically funny I have seen four times and never get tired of it. I have brought others who loved it. I usually will not go see a play that is 2.5 hrs long because I have a short attention span but this goes by so quickly. I never get bored and can't wait to see others opinion always the same they and I love it. "

So funny and Amazing!
"We had a wonderful time in the intimate Eugene O'Neill theatre at Book of Mormon! Sets, visuals, effects were all top notch. The performers were incredible such talent and the little gestures really made their performances. I appreciated the updated nods to culture since this musical has been out for 15 years too!"

Mystery Tablets
"The show has a fabulous start that captures the audience's attention. Sets the stage (pun intended) for what comes next. Interweaving the basic beliefs of Mormonism adds to the comedy as it suggests that these events were questionable but serve as the basis for the religion. The comic asides about the missionary assignments and the acolytes ways of dealing with uncomfortable facts is just delightful. Highly recommended."

You will laugh long after the curtain closes
"It points out the silliness in much of the human ways of thinking and the way society wants us to speak and behave. If you are a person who is willing to embrace the humor of it all, you will not be disappointed. As for someone who would not consider themselves a theater devotee, I would go back over and over to this play. Best 2+ hours I think I've ever had watching something live. And I am now trying to learn all the songs - something I never thought I would do. It deserves every award its won!"

About The Book of Mormon

The Book of Mormon follows two young missionaries who are sent to Uganda to try to convert citizens to the Mormon religion. One missionary, Elder Price, is an enthusiastic go-getter with a strong dedication to his faith, while his partner, Elder Cunningham, is a socially awkward but well meaning nerd whose tendency to embroider the truth soon lands him in trouble. Upon their arrival in Africa, Elders Price and Cunningham learn that in a society plagued by AIDS, poverty and violence, a successful mission may not be as easy as they expected.
