Why I enjoyed Buena Vista Social Club
"While the theme was serious, I was still able to enjoy the production and not get too immersed in the conflicted experiences of the revolution. At the same time, the factors that gave rise to some leaving and others choosing to stay were adequately dealt with and appreciated.
The music was outstanding. There was a lot that was new to me and that was refreshing. The production brought together some exceptionally talented musicians and dancers who made the experience rewarding for the audience.
Finally, I think the team of scriptwriter, producer, director should be commended for getting the balance right."
