Pure joy from start to finish
"This show was absolutely incredible. The talent of the dancers, musicians, and singers was on another level — truly mind-blowing. Every performance left me in awe. The choreography was so beautiful it even made me a little emotional (which says a lot, since it’s not even meant to be emotional, haha). The whole vibe was pure feel-good energy — we had huge smiles on our faces from start to finish.
Even though I don’t speak Spanish and wasn’t familiar with Cuban music, I came away with a whole new appreciation for Hispanic music and culture. I’d genuinely recommend this to everyone, no matter your background — it’s an unforgettable experience."

Emotional play for a Cuban
"I caught my Cuban husband wipe the tears from his eyes as the intermission lights came up. He could not help it, the play was very emotional. The music was powerful! The musicians were incredible and the singing, wonderful! This was a 65th birthday present to my husband who fled Cuban when he was just 26 days old. Moving and entertaining performance!
"I have seen many Broadway shows over the years however, I found the Buena Vista Social Club to be moving and entertaining. Given that my parents are both Cuban and I was raised in Miami listening to stories and Cuban music, I was deeply moved by how the Portuondo sisters were separated by the revolution, yet both decided to follow their passion. Omara chose to make music about the Cuban struggle and her sister chose freedom from the revolution. The singing and musical performances were powerful and entertaining. The lead guitarist was absolutely phenomenal! Cheers to the full cast an performers of the BVSC!"

"This show totally captivated the audience. No fidgeting or distracted looking viewers.
