I didn’t want it to end, so emotional
"I started my evening at Havana Central, which had a great atmosphere and really set the tone for a long-awaited night at Buena Vista Social Club. From the moment the show began, I was completely drawn in.
To me, this story was about humanity—about people connecting beyond color or background. It touched on the differences between Afro-Caribbean Cubans and white Caribbean Cubans, but more importantly, it delivered a powerful message: we should love one another as human beings. That message hit me deeply. There were moments I felt very emotional, even close to tears.
It was also incredible to look around the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre and see people of all cultures and races enjoying this experience together. That alone made the night feel even more special.
As a Puerto Rican, I truly embraced and appreciated the Cuban culture, the music, and the history shared on that stage. The music was inspiring, the performances were full of soul, and I honestly didn’t want it to end.
Yes, some tickets—including mine—were a bit expensive, but for me, it was worth it. I saw it as giving back to the artists and the culture that created such beautiful and meaningful music.
The staff was wonderful, and the overall experience was excellent. My only small suggestion would be to offer coffee at the concession stand.

What an experience
"This show was so amazing. It brought back memories of when I was a young boy and my parents had house parties. The music took me back to those days. Everyone on stage was amazing and the pipes on the performers ran goosebumps on my skin. It was truly an amazing experience. Just please be careful on how you choose your seats because I was in orchestra seats row c 10 and 12 but the seats to the right of us 14 and 16 you can’t see the stage as well. The couple near us switched seats at intermission so that it would not be a complete miss"
