Cuban born husband and I love Buena Vista Social Club
"We loved everything about the show. My husband sang along with the cast, as it brought back memories of his Cuban roots with family listening and dancing to the songs. The story line demonstrated exactly what the Cubans endured during the Communist regime. All songs have a story, happy and emotional. The band, musicians, cast, songs, performers were phenomenal. Go see it , you won’t be disappointed and will be dancing in your seats. Cuba Libre!"

Incredible music
"The pit/band was some of the best I’ve ever seen or heard on Broadway. The story was compelling but even more so was the emotion of the performers. You FEEL this show, it’s not just a slick Broadway production. Highly recommended for all ages!"

The Soul Of Cuba Lives On!
"2 Sisters, beautiful voices, on the edge of great success just before the revolution. It tears them apart. One leaves, One stays. The songs and music feel authentic, soulful, though entirely in Spanish, it transcends as you are swept up by the culture, it's passion, color and soul is undeniable."

Inspirational Historical Talent
"Talented musicians, dancers, choreographers and actors bringing to life a part of Cuban history which was traumatic for both the refugees and those who decided to stay. Buena Vista Social Club inspire all of us to dream and encourage us to embrace the importance of our similarities regardless of our political affiliation. It's not about politics; it is about Humanity and the Arts. Fourteen family members from 8 to 73 years old attended the performance and we all loved it! "

Prepare for two hours of joy
"I have lived with and loved the music of Buena Vista for more than twenty years now--and as a college-level Spanish teacher, I've used songs like "Dos gardenias para ti" and "Óigame compay" to teach students grammar in a lyrical context. So my expectations were high, and I was a bit afraid I'd be disappointed. But todo lo contrario... I sat with a huge smile on my face for two hours, and wasn't ready for it to be over when it was over. The music and the choreography are stunning, and the historical narrative woven into the musical numbers (the Cuban revolution) gives depth to the music and dance. If I lived in New York City, I'd go back to see this show over and over. "

Buena Vista Social Club
It’s been years since legendary singer Omara Portuondo last entered a recording studio. Once known as the “Queen of Feeling,” her voice was celebrated throughout Cuba—until she vanished from the spotlight. But when an ambitious young record producer brings her a rare opportunity, the elusive diva must finally reckon with her past.
Hailed as a "jaw-dropping, soul-stirring must see" (The Washington Post), the Tony® and GRAMMY® Award-winning Buena Vista Social Club is a journey through music and memory into the beating heart of Havana. A world-class company brings the story of the iconic album to thrilling life in this tale of big dreams, second chances, and music that needs no translation.
