"What a show! We didnt know what to expect but from the love story to the music that gave us more perspective of the orginal story of the buena vista social club, you were captivated. You have historical conflict, internal coming of age and the reckoning of the choices we make for the ones we love to the music that was bred to represent Cuba as not only a country but a vast and dynamic culture. You are draw in from the moment the play start. And left in awe as you leave the threater. It was a cubano celebration of life, love, and liberation. All i will say is thank you to the talented actors and actresses that made this play come to life and helped everyone there to feel apart of this journey of the rise of the buena visita social club"

Heartbreakingly beautiful
"My husband is a Cuban musician, and grew up with his dad singing all the songs in this musical. The precision of the production with actual Havana shocked by husband and gave him goosebumps. My daughter spent all the musical sobbing from the incredible live music and the soulful acting and singing. This is a musical that definitely needs more recognition, everyone should watch it at least once. "

The show is exciting!
"I loved the live music of course which made you want to get up and dance! The dancing was just as beautiful as the music. My nineteen year old grandson said the show was Fire!
I didn’t like the seats. The seats are old and tiny. I’m hippy and others in my party who are slim to average size found the seats uncomfortable as well. "

"The music was fantastic! I liked that it was different than the classical musical in that the story was spoken, not sung. Very upbeat, interesting story."

About
Buena Vista Social Club
It’s been years since legendary singer Omara Portuondo last entered a recording studio. Once known as the “Queen of Feeling,” her voice was celebrated throughout Cuba—until she vanished from the spotlight. But when an ambitious young record producer brings her a rare opportunity, the elusive diva must finally reckon with her past.
Hailed as a "jaw-dropping, soul-stirring must see" (The Washington Post), the Tony® and GRAMMY® Award-winning Buena Vista Social Club is a journey through music and memory into the beating heart of Havana. A world-class company brings the story of the iconic album to thrilling life in this tale of big dreams, second chances, and music that needs no translation.
