A lot more than what I was expecting.
"
“This play offered a fascinating glimpse into the past of a truly dynamic group of musicians. It captured a pivotal period in Cuba’s history, music and culture…along with the profound impact and hardships brought about by the changes of that time. I was captivated by the story, amazing set, and its talented cast from beginning to end.”"

Amazing!!!
"An excellent performance with amazing singers and musicians who successfully transport us to another era. The magnificent sets and the beautiful interpretations of the songs made the two hours feel too short. It’s one of those musicals where the music overwhelms you and at times gives you goosebumps."

"This show was great! The music carried the play all the way through. Wish I had more room in my seat because the music was made for dancing. So I was forced to just tap my foot and love the vibe. Great acting and a great story."

The orchestra… amazing … the solos (laud…piano…bongos… metals …) all of them are fantastics…
The theater is great… good view at all… the sound…!!!
The Cuban music received a great reception and was treated as it deserved because all instruments were played with passion, virtuosism and respect …as the Cuban music deserve for tradition and the place for years in the whole world…

A wonderful Cuban music love story
"I truly enjoyed the celebratory music, wonderful dancers, and awesome band. There were no special effects so you might be better off seeing it in a local production. The book is enriched by your own family immigration history regardless of where your ancestors come from. Although the female main character is explored throughout the book,, she is more an exposition person and does not appear on the soundtrack very much. I bought the soundtrack at halftime. Go see it."

About
Buena Vista Social Club
It’s been years since legendary singer Omara Portuondo last entered a recording studio. Once known as the “Queen of Feeling,” her voice was celebrated throughout Cuba—until she vanished from the spotlight. But when an ambitious young record producer brings her a rare opportunity, the elusive diva must finally reckon with her past.
Hailed as a "jaw-dropping, soul-stirring must see" (The Washington Post), the Tony® and GRAMMY® Award-winning Buena Vista Social Club is a journey through music and memory into the beating heart of Havana. A world-class company brings the story of the iconic album to thrilling life in this tale of big dreams, second chances, and music that needs no translation.
