"I've been a BVSC fan since the late 90s. Wasn't gonna come to Chicago in the next 2 yrs and I knew I'd fly to NYC just for this show. Was definitely worth the trip. Story, songs, history achieved with great voices and acting. Would definitely see again. BRAVO"

Buena Vista Social Club is Musical for the Ages, All Ages!
"I was expecting the music to be outstanding and it was. The music, always great, was enhanced by strong vocals and dancers. What I didnt' expect, and really enjoyed, was the story behing Buena Vista Social Club. How it evolved in pre-Castro to modern Cuba was fascinating. A totally joyful performance, one not to miss!"

"I very much enjoyed it! I loved the music and the dancing. It was awesome! The actors/actresses were great. It would’ve been nicer if they performed more mambo dancing to all the music the band played. "

Three great performances in one show: drama, dancing and music
"BVSC was a show that uses a place to summarize a historical moment where music and singing helped to define a generation of Cuban artists that impacted the world. The storytelling, the dancers and actor's performances paid tribute to the album concerts and documentary that was released in the 1990s. Los musicos were engaging with their vocal solos and on guitar, bongos, and piano. We came in from Chicago to see BVSC and it was well worth the travel to experience this great show. "

About
Buena Vista Social Club
It’s been years since legendary singer Omara Portuondo last entered a recording studio. Once known as the “Queen of Feeling,” her voice was celebrated throughout Cuba—until she vanished from the spotlight. But when an ambitious young record producer brings her a rare opportunity, the elusive diva must finally reckon with her past.
Hailed as a "jaw-dropping, soul-stirring must see" (The Washington Post), the Tony® and GRAMMY® Award-winning Buena Vista Social Club is a journey through music and memory into the beating heart of Havana. A world-class company brings the story of the iconic album to thrilling life in this tale of big dreams, second chances, and music that needs no translation.
